Moved from Hampshire to Dorset[edit]

I've changed the location of Cripplestyle from Hampshire to Dorset. I've been looking and looking at the map, and I can't see how Cripplestyle can be part of Hampshire. It's about quarter-of-a-mile inside the Dorset border, and seems to be firmly part of Alderholt civil parish. Singinglemon (talk) 00:17, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My guess is that some places (eg here) give an address in Hampshire because the closest town is just over the border, and this is where the confusion stems from. The village was certainly in Dorset in the 19th century, as far as I can tell - certainly this seems to be how contemporary documents refer to it - and so I've removed the comment about it moving in the 1970s reorganisation.
