About this article[edit]

I created this article because I felt that multiple other Wikipedia articles were WP:Forks of this concept. I thought it would be better to have all information on this concept here, and for other articles to point to this as a central article.

I merged sections of these article here to start this article-

Comments sought[edit]

It is always a mess to combine text from multiple articles into a new one. @Wuerzele and Fred Bauder: - you both have edited Wikipedia articles about drug costs. Do you have any comment on what I did here, combining text from multiple articles into a new one?

My intention here was to isolate discussion about drug cost centered on the development costs. I am looking at the prescription costs article and thought that there are so many legal, social, and marketplace issues there that could be considered separate from the costs at the manufacturing level. I felt that this text was WP:UNDUE weight on this one aspect of drug development, plus I felt that this text was being constrained by being in that article which included so many other concepts. Because of that I moved it here.

Before I wikify the text more I thought I would seek comment about what I did. I intend to delete the original text from those articles and point everything here but I thought I would ask first. Thoughts? Blue Rasberry (talk) 21:54, 6 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Entire article missing data[edit]

There appears to be nothing in this article regarding government funding of research. It speaks solely of costs, and appears to presume pharmaceutical companies pay for development.
