On 6 April 2006 I deleted seven potentially libellous edits by User:Johnnyrocket1111 from this article's page history per the Libel policy. Snottygobble 05:11, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but when did Johnnyrocket1111 edit the page? I wrote most of this page and it has remained unchanged as far as I'm aware. And as far as I can tell nothing has changed. 5430437—Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.27.173.38 (talkcontribs)

Snottygobble deleted the edits from the revision history as they were considered libellous. This is Wikipedia policy: see WP:LIBEL -- Iantalk 12:28, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Ian, that's right.
Between 11:40 and 13:01 on 6 April 2006, Cosima De Vito's former manager Constantine Nellis logged in under the username Juhnnyrocket1111, and made a series of edits that I judged to be potentially libellous. I removed them, and Nellis responded by re-inserting them and threatening me with legal action. Account Johnnyrocket1111 has now been blocked indefinitely. In accordance with Wikipedia's libel policy, I deleted Johnnyricket1111's revisions from both the article and the revision history. Snottygobble 23:25, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the clarification, Snottygobble. What did he write (just out of interest)? 5430437 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.27.173.38 (talkcontribs)

The statements that I adjudged to be potentially libellous asserted that Cosima had made a habit of making false and misleading statements to the press. By the way, I take no position on whether or not Nellis' statements were true; I wouldn't know. Snottygobble 01:48, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who ever keeps changing this page with false info be be advised you are being false and slanderous. i, there where no distribution problems. where did this fact come from? i have passed this on to MGM who i believe will also persew who ever it is that keeps adding this.

The part of the legal dispute. For about the sixth time, i Constantine Nellis am suing DeVito. My lawyers advised her lawyers in ocyt 2005 after the attempted AVO agaist me by Cosima which was unsuccessfull.

Please be advised i have sent this article with the ongoing changes to all media that have been covering Miss De Vito's activities this week.

Please refrain from writing fiction. I thought wilkipedia was non fiction. Constantine Nellis 1 July 2006. To contact me please feel free to email emailnellis@yahoo.com. my ref no MOD666—Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.222.131.136 (talkcontribs)

If you do not wish false information to be put in the article, then please cite your sources accordingly. Do not simply change it back. How are we to know you are speaking the truth?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.27.157.180 (talkcontribs)

With regards to distribution problems, I put that in. Cosima herself said this in her answer to questions from fans on her previous Official forum. As the URL no longer exists, I cannot give you the exact wording. 5430437—Preceding unsigned comment added by 5430437 (talkcontribs)

POV dispute[edit]

I for one cannot really understand what this dispute is about, and frankly don't really care. I do care about ongoing insinuations of slander though. As the article is at the moment [1], it seems to me to be reasonably neutral. If people have futher issues with its neutrality, please discuss it here first by submitting what you propose is a better wording, together with factual references, otherwise I will revert your edit.

Please also sign your edits as per above note. -- I@ntalk 05:41, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nellis, please be advised that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. As Cosima's former manager, you have better access to the documentary records of Cosima's career than just about anyone else. You are capable of providing neutral, referenced material on her career. But evidently you would prefer to insult and threaten us in an attempt to push your personal point of view. In doing so you expose Wikipedia to legal risk. This is unacceptable. Snottygobble 06:00, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To: Snottygobble.

What is this BS about Vinegar. You or whoever (hiding behind whoever you are) keep writing slanderous and false info. What do you suggest i do. Sit back and say hey ok. Why dont you just write that i murdered or raped somewhere. There is about as much truth in that statemnt as what keeps appearing in this article.

Snottygobble, if i didnt keep coming back and correcting, this articlewould have about as much validity as a Jacky Collins novel.

I dont care. Every step and history of this article , my changes are in the hands of my lawyers and is certainly evidence in my case.

Have a lovely day sNOTTY.

cONSTANTINE nELLIS. (Who cant spell and type properly.... great manager! not....)

ps. i have copies of this article at ever change.

Fair use rationale for Image:Cosima01.jpg[edit]

Image:Cosima01.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I think it sounds a bit like an advertisement to be honest. (The article about her I meant.) It's a big like a PR spin about how "successful" she is - actually, in Australia, she's not very big at all. Or maybe I've missed something? (Fiona, Melbourne, Australia)
