if someone can set this up without the 'two flag' columns, it would be very much appreciated. Maybe you can then replace the tree thing under the Round of 16 heading, which I think can't work given the double-leg system that will be used Juveboy 12:53, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

3. Runners up

Could someone please check why there are 67 'Runners-up' yet only 59 cups have been awarded. Juve2000 01:18, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

4. Fair use rationale for Image:TIM Cup Logo 2006-2007.png

Image:TIM Cup Logo 2006-2007.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. 5. Section Exaggerating

The following section, which currently says:

"The tournament is known for its low attendances, mainly because most teams consider the tournament of low importance and do not field their best line-up, especially after the abolition of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. While some top clubs may average over 50,000 for league games, often these same clubs will attract crowds of around 1,000 for Coppa Italia matches. Many domestic cups elsewhere in Europe attract larger crowds. It is often in the final, where the UEFA Europa League spot is up for grabs, that larger crowds attend the games."

This section is not really giving an objective assessment of the cup, not to mention it makes statements without citation, which is not just even close to being true (the only 1000 crowd for the teams that usually have 50.000).

I see what the initiate author wanted to say by this section, but it just comes out way to exaggerated and also the cup's somewhat lack of high prestige probably doesn't need to be addressed as much anyway.

It is true that many other nations regard their domestic cups with higher prestige, but even in many countries where the cup have been regarded with very high prestige (like the English regard their FA Cup), the prestige appear to have fallen a bit as of lately and if you for instance compare the amount of "reserve" players on the starting line-ups in the initial rounds of the respective cups the top teams use, I find it to be fairly similar, maybe even more "reserve" players in the FA Cup 3rd and 4th round actually.

This taken into consideration and that Coppa Italia appear to at least not have lost in prestige in recent years, if anything actually gained a bit more than it had some years ago I feel this section needs to be re-written or probably even better: Completely removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.105.200.121 (talk) 22:06, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

English name

The English name of the competition is still the "Coppa Italia", or the "TIM Cup", and even if it were to be translated it would be the "Italian Cup" or "Cup of Italy" certainly not the "Italy Cup" which is a literal translation of the Italian name with no consideration for how these competitions are named in English speaking countries. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.46.127.102 (talk) 10:13, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Champions list

Copied from my (User:Vaselineeeeeeee) talk page—message from User:BumbleBum about User:Foghe's major edit. Any thoughts?

In my opinion, a significant change has been made to the Coppa Italia article. The list of champions was replaced by a much longer list of every final (single and double legs), which has made the new section too big and has included too much detail. The Coppa Italia is a tournament, not just a final. I would like to know if I am seeing this right, or if you agree with the original edit. I hope a discussion is started (and not an edit war) on this matter.BumbleBum (talk) 01:45, 6 March 2020 (UTC)

@BumbleBum: Yes, I see that - personally I think the edit is fine as it gives a bit more context to the wins without it being too much, similar to what we have at Supercoppa Italiana. Vaselineeeeeeee^★★★ 02:04, 6 March 2020 (UTC)

I see your point, but Supercoppa Italiana is a one-off game, while Coppa Italia is a tournament. Tournament pages like UEFA Champions League, NHL Playoffs, NBA Playoffs and NFL Playoffs don't list all the finalists, champions yes. The tournament pages I have listed usually have separate pages for their Finals. I might suggest that the editor create a Super Coppa Finals page.BumbleBum (talk) 03:03, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
