A heads up

This article will eventually be moved to Control (Janet Jackson album) when I get around to writing the article Control (Pedro the Lion album) (see Pedro the Lion) Mattbrundage 05:54, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup

The following paragraph could use some cleanup:

Jackson's first two albums, Janet Jackson & Dream Street, were commercial failures. She allegedly did not put as much effort into those two as she would with her future albums, and their bubblegum pop style was far away from the patterns of popular, charting pop music back then. Early in her career, her father had controlled her every move, like he did with the rest of his children. A year after this album was released, Jackson had fired her father as manager, which was not an easy move. Despite the personal feelings Jackson had to move on, take control, and become a woman, which was the theme of the album. The album marked the first time she worked with Jam & Lewis.

In addition to needing a little copyediting, there are some rather speculative statements in here that don't sound very encyclopedic, at least not without references, such as the one about her father controlling her every move. Also, in the statement which begins, A year after this album was released, Jackson had fired her father as manager, the words "this album" used in this context would mean "Control" but the rest of the statement implies it may be referring to her previous album "Dream Street". Great job expanding it to all involved It's definitly B and pretty close to GA worthy I'd say soon! Some suggestions would be that some sections are very short and could probably be combined with other sections. An example would be that possibly the "Music" section could be moved to "Legacy" as it's only a single sentance and comes off kind of seperated. To make the article look nicer it's best if all specific areas have a more balenced amount of information (it can be hard, but this album seems like it could do it!). I'm not familiar enough with the album to suggest more but it's close. I'd reccomend to try and apply my suggestions, give it a quick peer review then submit for it for a GA!
