What for?[edit]

The article should explain why this strange feature exists. --gnirre (talk) 15:08, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Downlevel[edit]

Microsoft's use of the term "downlevel" in reference to non-IE browsers should be explained. --Bruce Bertrand (talk) 14:29, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

-- I am slightly concerned a section of this is lifted straight from the MSDN. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.165.213.18 (talk) 14:07, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

-- Conditional comments do not work in 11. I have read they were discontinued in 10. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.66.171.186 (talk) 09:12, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

wrong code[edit]

Some code is wrong as found on the below page:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1843247/cc-on-and-ie6-detection

You just need to change your "elif" to "else if" I think, as recommended by the poster at the bottom. 62.189.169.182 (talk) 14:10, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No criticism?[edit]

I’m probably biased as a known critic of Conditional Comments (CC), but this article is hardly complete, and with its omission of issues and criticism of CC not objective either. There are major problems with CC as they impede HTML maintainability and force otherwise unnecessary future HTML changes. (I haven’t reviewed what I myself have written about the subject in a while, but there should be plenty of material out there substantiating my claims. I suggest to at least mark the article as incomplete and for review. j9t (talk) 11:38, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete page maybe?[edit]

Wikipedia is not MDN.

I don't think there should be a page about HTML syntax. 174.106.126.194 (talk) 02:13, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
