Family names and numbers[edit]

Our infobox for Richard Melancthon Hurd identifies five children by full name, including "Clement Gazzam Hurd"; also parent "Lucy (Gazzam) Hurd". Evidently this gives Clement Hurd a sibling count, middle name, and family etymology for the latter.

The article elsewhere cites for biographical material, among other sources, RM Hurd's 1941-06-07 obituary in The New York Times (online). That seems to me its most likely source for these data. Unfortunately it is not available to me at this station, not even the first paragraph. --P64 (talk) 22:25, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
