How did it start? Which civilizations have used it? Did the Mayans clap to express themselves? Did the Egyptians?

Lolwut?[edit]

Is it just me or is this the most poorly written article on the face of the planet? Is it just a joke or what? The second paragraph is devoted completely to the use of The Clapper, while amusing, this is hardly Wikipedia quality. AnonHat (talk) 09:11, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Educational applications[edit]

In my experience clapping can also be used to sound out syllables (especially in languages where emphasis matters, like Spanish) but I don't have any citations for this.

Video[edit]
