This page is very sketchy[edit]

This article reads like a history of the Lyon FAMILY, not Clan Lyon. I don't really think there is a Clan Lyon that isn't a sept of Clan Farquharson which is well attested. None of that is referenced here.

The first reference links to a tartan business, so it's not a reputable source for any history. None of the information there is sourced. Who knows where it came from. The second reference makes no claim of a separate Clan Lyon. A Google Search for some entity even named Clan Lyon doesn't exist, except in business websites.
