The Holy Roman Empire ≠ "Germany"[edit]

@User:QuintusPetillius: what a pity that you didn't bother to read the BETTER sources that have been provided on YOUR talk site — by me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SR-7v (talkcontribs) 15:48, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on the epoch: The documented term Sacrum Imperium Romanum Nationis Germanicæ (in German: Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nation) has been in use for this empire from 1474 until the late 1700s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Roman_Empire#Name — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:C0:DF02:1B00:B4BD:1988:EEA3:554B (talk) 10:52, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

New user[edit]

Message to the new user: Right, I think you need to understand the basics of editing Wikipeidia. It is about reflecting what the sources say. Have that info you have added to the Clan Leslie article and that you have quoted to the Encyclopedia is not even in it! I know because I have the book and I am the editor who originally added it as a source to the article. Also you have added masses of unsourced info. I had the article to a good standard with every sentenced referenced - which is waht Wikipedia is about. What you have done is a added loads of unsourced sentences as well as adding info that is not in the sources you have quoted. Therefore I am quite right to revert all of your edits - which actually constitute Wikipedia vandalism. And if you continue down this route I will report you to an admin in which your IP address can be blocked from editing Wikipedia.QuintusPetillius (talk) 10:39, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
