Parish name probably "Kirkden"[edit]

Probably "Kirkden", not "Kirkdon". A Wikipedia search finds no article for either, and no other reference to "Kirkdon", but many references to Kirkden. Forfar, Angus "is part of the parish of Letham, Dunnichen and Kirkden". There was a separate Kirkden parish in the 1850s, and at the 1851 census it was a separate enumeration area. See https://familysearch.org/wiki/en/Angus_(or_Forfarshire),_Scotland_Genealogy for example. Jock Bruce-Gardyne ... "John Bruce-Gardyne, Baron Bruce-Gardyne (12 April 1930 – 15 April 1990) ... was created a life peer as Baron Bruce-Gardyne, of Kirkden in the District of Angus, on 7 October 1983."
