Fremantle fireworks[edit]

I've reverted an edit ([1]), which added the following sentence: "Although, this has been viewed as sour-grapes by the people of both Perth and Fremantle, seeing as nobody really cares whether Freo (local term for Fremantle) hold's their own fireworks or not."

It doesn't strike me as something that belongs in an encyclopedia, at least not while it's worded that way and not while there's no reference for it. The reference already present for the rest of the paragraph could also be used for this sentence, although it doesn't seem the best. Brian Jason Drake 04:44, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative fireworks[edit]

I saw a story on TV about more alternative fireworks being held (not just in Fremantle). It said that police didn't like the late notice and showed Peter Nattrass saying that they might not be able to cope with "four peripheral cracker shows". I have so far been unable to locate a reference for this, but as long as the Fremantle fireworks are in the article, these should be mentioned as well.
