Autobiography issues[edit]

I have attempted to make the article at least a bit more neutral by adding more third person mentions of Berryhill.

I was going to do that recently but got distracted by the BLP flap so that indicates some "consensus". I'm not certain the autobiography tag is still appropriate though the article certainly needs expansion. Refrigerator Heaven (talk) 11:13, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've reviewed the article history and "It is an autobiography, or has been extensively edited by the subject ..." doesn't seem accurate since the removal of material and the additon of material by other editors. I'm going to remove the tag. "... and may not conform to NPOV policy." could still be an issue if it is seperate from the first part of the sentence though I'm not sure what NPOV policy aspect(s) it wouldn't be conforming to at this time. Notability issues[edit]

I feel this artist meets notability requirements. I don't think popularity should be the benchmark, rather the fact she has several album releases and is married to Mr. Williams is enough to require an article. 97.83.159.233 (talk) 09:24, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I haven't gotten to it yet but she also seems notable as a musician, particularly in connection with the "anti-folk" genre/scene which I'm not very familiar with but recognize some of the musicians also connected to it. Some other reasons too. I even recognized one of her songs as something I've heard on the radio though I'd not known who the artist was before. Also the quote I cited by Unterberger is from a professional writing for a professional trade service with editorial control. This article's not high priority on my editing list (my immediate goal here is part of a desire to protect a few biographies from zealous BLP deletionists) but think there wouldn't be any question of notability issues if it were judging from what I've read in outside sources. Certainly more notable than the subjects of many much longer articles that seem to be long because the subjects are popular trivia IMO. Of course that's subjective, lots of people are notable and of great interest to many people for reasons of no interest to me. Refrigerator Heaven (talk) 11:51, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
