Yummi Toyama[edit]

I just read all six novels within the last few days. Yummi Toyama is referred to as "Berkeley Two", not "Berklee", and her home city and major are never mentioned, so I assumed she was a student at the University of California at Berkeley, which would also fit in with her Japanese-American ethnicity (lots of Asian-Americans in that area). (Granted, the other agents are all from the New England area, but presumably TEEN has agents nationwide.) She might also be a student of Berkeley College at Yale (which would fit in with the Ivy League affiliations of all the others). What is the basis for the article's claim that she attends Berklee College of Music? Unless someone can defend that claim, I'm going to change it. Craig418 (talk) 18:33, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Observing no rush to defend the reference to Berklee College of Music, I have changed the text to indicate that the authors never indicated which "Berkeley" they intended. Craig418 (talk) 18:29, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Expanded article, still need some citations[edit]

I've never read any Christopher Cool books, but saw that article had no references, and so researched the series and tried to improve the article. I removed many sections that weren't referenced, but I left in characters Yummy & Spice, plus foreign language books, though these portions need citations. Well, this is an article about books. They are their own primary sources. Any statement about the contents of the books is implicitly a reference to the books themselves. Specific references to chapters or pages introducing the various characters can be provided if it's really necessary, but it seems rather silly. Craig418 (talk) 05:30, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Craig418 I sorry that you feel my edits seem "rather silly", but I was trying to protect an article that had no references at all. For over a decade, off and on, I had worked to improve an article on a book series I'd read as a child, Power Boys. Almost all references came from specific sections in specific books. All seemed well, until another editor added tags stating: "The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines for books"; and "This article relies too much on references to primary sources." Some editors believe that referencing a book series with references to volumes of the book series is relying on primary sources. I spent weeks looking for references that were not found in a Power Boys novel, for I was concerned that the article might be tagged for possible deletion.
When I came upon this article with no references, I knew it wasn't meeting Wikipedia's current standards, and so looked for references, since everything in an article should have citations. If you wish to revert my edits you may do so, for I won't be working on the article in the future. Karenthewriter (talk) 15:42, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say your edits were silly. I said it would be silly to have to reference specific pages in the books to justify mentioning the names of the characters. Craig418 (talk) 16:29, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
