Christopher Chambers needs disambiguation. The redirect has its link to the right person, the football person has his article. Thanks, GerardM (talk)

I do not understand as to why you are blanking the article. If it needs disambiguation then make it a disambiguation page. I don't get as to what the "article linked to wikidata" has anything to do with the article remaining as a redirect till a consensus can be reached. I do not blank an article. I blank a redirect page as it is wrong. That has nothing to do with consensus. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 14:13, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please list the redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion if you wish for it to be removed. Please do not blank the page WP:BLANK. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 16:02, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Who says[edit]

Who says that the item is written by him? It is the page ON him by the university he works for. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 05:19, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

GerardM, referring to your comment above, I quote My principal research interests include... I am especially interested... My group... my core research programme... I also pursue— of course it's written by him. Please don't try to mislead us, and don't remove prod tags without addressing the issues. If you continue to disrupt this article, you may be blocked Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:57, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Jimfbleak, to be honest when someone writes on a university page where people are introduced, it has to be right. It seems obvious to me that the author hardly matters as a consequence. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 12:09, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
GerardM, it is a basic policy that biographies of living people must have independent references, not something they haves written themselves. It may very well all be true in this case, but it should therefore be easy enough to find third-party verification. If we allow one exception, we will have other special pleading Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:51, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Jimfbleak What I need is not a Wikipedia article. I need to have a correct link to Wikidata and a correct link from the Spearman Medal for the correct Mr Chambers. So far my experience has not been pleasant. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 19:58, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Education[edit]

I cannot substantiate his degrees from the faculty page cited, or anywhere else. That doesn't necessarily mean they are wrong, but the earliest version of his faculty page at the Wayback machine doesn't have that information, and neither does his "expertise" page at Cardiff, or any other page I can find online. Can anyone find a source? It would be good to establish that he is in fact Australian to put him in the correct categories by nationality. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:13, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
