I added this article since I had done some research on the painting, but I'm fairly new to wikipedia and not sure if I used the footnotes exactly correctly. Everything in the article has a source, but I'm not sure if I made this clear. The first paragraph and the second up until the 1st footnote is all from the same source, but I don't know if I am supposed to add a 1 at the end of the first paragraph to reflect this. The information in the last paragraph is likewise all in the source linked at the very end, but I don't know if this is clear from the way that I presented it. Please, anyone more familiar with Wikipedia footnotes, feel free to fix this up a bit. Also, if anybody could add a picture that would be great (I'm not exactly sure how the copyright works).--Derco 20:45, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I made a page on Saunders[edit]

I made a page on the model for the painting, acrobat Russell Saunders.

nails[edit]

is it possible that there might be nail on the right hand? if so, would'nt it be accurate to say "almost... of nails, ..."? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.165.236.119 (talk) 01:09, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

... based on a drawing by John of the Cross.[edit]

Good morning, wiki community. I noticed this claim both here, and in the article on St John of the Cross. But no source. There is clearly a visual similarity, but this is not quite the same thing as a reliable source :)

So I will try to take it accordingly.
