Requested move 13 July 2020[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. If I make a search, that would make me an involved/biased party, and I wouldnt be able to close the discussion. The nomination puts forward valid points. The only oppose comment mentions the subject hosting other shows, but as pointed out by all the other commentors, this is not enough to establish notability. If time permits, I will try to update the article; but kindly dont count on it. —usernamekiran (talk) 19:59, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chris ChappellChina Uncensored – Host of the series is not individually notable per WP:BIO and WP:ENT outside of the series itself as he is essentially only known for China Uncensored and most of this article is about the show itself rather than the host. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 03:44, 13 July 2020 (UTC) Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 00:16, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. According to the article, he hosts multiple shows, not just China Uncensored. Rreagan007 (talk) 07:48, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes, I know, however I am not seeing that the other ones are individually notable unlike China Uncensored, which has received coverage from third party sources. [1] - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 09:22, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. I cannot find any RS coverage of America Uncovered or China Unscripted at all, so they should be removed from the article. -- King of ♥ 07:16, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, and move the information about Chappell himself to a new heading somewhere in the article, and make an infobox about him under that heading. The infobox for the China Uncensored show should stay at the top. If we want to write more about Chappell, we can start a new article about it, but he himself isn't very notable for the time being. Satire[edit]

This is not satirical — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.142.209.39 (talk) 07:45, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

None of the information from the show is valid or proven, and it leads to biased views and opinions. Most obviously, they never invited nor interviewed anybody from the Chinese government nor lived in China. If it is not a satire, I can only guess it is a hoax or propaganda. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dungeontrigger (talkcontribs) 04:55, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"...they never invited nor interviewed anybody from the Chinese government nor lived in China" Interviews have been conducted with several members of the CCP, along with former diplomats. MrEarlGray (talk) 11:29, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This show is satire. Chris chappel the host of China uncensored has stated " I thought: 'Why not follow in the footsteps of The Daily Show or The Colbert Report?'"[8]" Which are satire news shows. The News satire and anti-CCP, anti-censorship (ITS IN THE NAME.) Any reverts to anti-leftwing will result in an edit waring warning. Reaver55 (talk) 19:38, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
