I've just read the Spanish version of the book, and it says that it is Rann, and not Chil, the kite who tells Bagheera and Baloo where to find Mowgli. (Kisky) 12:23, 23 October 2007

In my annotated copy, it says that Chil's name was changed to Rann for the first American edition. Cheel is apparently a local (indian) name for the Common Kite. Richard Jackson (talk) 15:48, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
