Good start - more than a stub ... Victuallers 16:43, 3 March 2007 (UTC) Upped to Mid as alumni list impressive. Victuallers 14:57, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The exam results section has been removed as it has been subjected persistent vandalism. The information can be found in newspapers and newspaper websites. Harsnett1629 15:27, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anthony Davis[edit]

Should we not include Anthony Davis in the list of notable Chigwellians. He attended from 1991-2002. He has recently been in many major news sources.

No. Unless there are other sources that make him notable, he appears only to be mentioned in relation to one event, and our relevant guideline on this is WP:BLP1E. Minor criminals don't get included on that basis. And to be included in this article, he would at least have to be eligible to have an article in his own right, and so far, I don't see that barrier having been climbed. Dates and Stott[edit]

I removed this undoubtedly good-faith edit in the lead from 2008, just after where it gives the 1629 date: "(even though G. Stott suggests it was more likely founded around 1620-3)". We would need to know who Stott was, and quote the (presumably reliable) source; additionally it would need rewording a bit, as the "even though" sounds rather argumentative and actually there isn't really such a contradiction between the two ... if this were to go back in it would be nice if it was in a more integrated form.
