Kirin is neither ravian, nor rakshas. Hence he can't be put under either heading. Hence I moved the paragraph.

Kirin is portrayed as a hero (or anti-hero, if you will) and is shown to have considerable nerve in the second book. His ineffectual (?) or lack-of-a-backbone attributes are missing. For instance, Kirin kills the rakshas cousin who impersonates him to order a war (he does it with that ravian-lightning thing). Also, he is described in the book as having a cold, calculating look - something that you can't attribute to someone who has no idea what has to be done. Moreover the plot twists like using the vaman chariot and taking Red with him, knowing that she is not Maya imply that Kirin has something in mind, rather than being a total slacker.

Hey, I can't believe that someone else is finally interested in the Gameworld Trilogy. I thought the books were excellent, that's why I created these pages months back.

On topic, the lightning is a rakshas attribute, not ravian. I don't remember what I wrote before, but I didn't mean to imply that Kirin is a total sucker. In fact he is highly intelligent. What I wanted to say was that Kirin is one of those who has greatness thrust upon him, and he is trying to cope with it. Did you read the first book, btw?

The Gameworld trilogy is an awesome series and it just gets too good at times. I have read the two books (back to back, skipping meals, life processes, etc).

On topic - the earlier version implied more of a "sucker" and less cluelessness (in my opinion, that is). Anyway, I know how it gets when you have to write paragraph after paragraph and sometimes, some accidents are bound to happen. I agree that Kiring trying to cope with responsibilites, love, hatred, political turmoil and sudden spotlight in an extremely fast paced scenario could be a major theme of the book(s?). I guess I will have to re read the book for the lightening attribute, etc. However, the point I was trying to make is that Kirin is not w/o a spine :). The books might take sometime to hit limelight all over. They are being translated (or already have been) to German, etc (don't remember the link where I read about it). Let's see what happens next.
