The Prime Minister cannot make one a baronet. Only the monarch can. --Daniel C. Boyer 16:38, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A source would help immensely in either direction. Jmlk17 00:04, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cambridge Degrees[edit]

Re: "He then attended Christ's College, Cambridge where he was awarded a double first in Science and Law, leaving with Master of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees."

Cambridge does not award Bachelor of Law degrees.Nicolas.hammond (talk)

Bemerton Lodge[edit]

I would like to see evidence that Edward VII stayed at Bemerton Lodge at the same time as Sir Cecil lived there (if he did), the dates don't match well. Richard Avery (talk) 07:32, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What a cock up. It was allegedly George VI that stayed there, but some source would be useful. Richard Avery (talk) 10:54, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That paragraph has had a CN tag since July 2013. As it's all unsourced (and reads like a piece of Edwardian tabloid tittle-tattle), I've deleted it. for anyone who wants to find evidence and then revert my deletion, it said
"Sir Cecil lived at Bemerton Lodge,[citation needed] where Bertie, the future King George VI, was a regular guest. The prince liked the estate because it was small, secluded and away from London."

Cricket match[edit]

The institution was not called Old Manor until 1924, well after the cricket match. Richard Avery (talk) 07:35, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any way to source or prove it was the largest private mental hospital in Europe?[edit]

>Whilst he was in charge, the hospital became the largest private mental hospital in Europe.

It is a rather large claim and lacks a citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coystags (talkcontribs) 02:22, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
