Confusion of name[edit]

Garn Fadryn is the name given both to the hamlet and the hill. The anglicized Carn Fadryn is used solely for the fortification. If no one disagrees I will edit the article to reflect this distinction after six weeks Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 21:51, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the name of the article be changed as well? The spelling "Carn" doesn't appear anywhere in the article, leaving the reader to wonder whether or not the article's title is a misprint. J. D. Crutchfield | Talk 17:46, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I was surprised at the spelling 'Carn Fadryn' - it's totally incorrect and has never been used this way. Bizarre. (this unsigned comment added by an IP, 194.72.50.187 in November 2014)
Earliest OS maps had the hill as Garn Fadryn but had changed itto Carn Fadryn by the turn of the C20th. Geopersona (talk) 19:58, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
