New Information[edit]

Noticed there's a lot of new information at http://newportgulls.pointstreaksites.com/view/newportgulls/cardines-field under the Cardines Field history section that's not included in this article. Can someone incorporate some of it into the article? Might be good to correct some inaccuracies, and the new info on the Gulls site talks a lot more about the park's "unique" qualities and quirks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.238.11.196 (talk) 05:43, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

It doesn't make sense to me that a 1937 plaque commemorates a 1938 hurricane. Rather, I'd think, it commemorates baseball starting while under city of Newport ownership. Other sites have ownership starting in 1937. See http://mysite.verizon.net/charliesballparks/stadiums/cardines.htm JMOprof (talk) 12:41, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
