In the city there are the ruins of a tower, built in 217 by the Roman emperor Caracalla, after whom the place is named.

This is taken from 1911 Britannica, but I think it's wrong. bogdan ʤjuʃkə | ^Talk 21:13, 17 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
