Burglary[edit]
Apparently, Canterbury Archaeological Trust has been burgled with many hundreds of items stolen. Yet, I can't find any images of the these items on Wikimedia Commons. So how do we know what to look out for when we get offered things, which we can then report to the police? Is this Trust expecting us to be psychic? If so, I'll get out my hazel twitching sticks. - Just added 'Daily page views' graph to this talk page. The views (or lack of) are embarrassing. As a Trust it should not exclusively be a club for keen amateurs acting in an amateurish way. They need to promote themselves more professionally (and they can get that knowhow Pro bono buy asking around). All I can find about their work is something on Facebook ! - Two articles in the Guardian and the Trust's Facebook page do have images of beads etc. which were immediately registered as missing directly after the burglary. But the Guardian articles said that because the Trust has a great many small items which all have to be checked against their lists, they will not know what pictures to publish until they have done a full inventory. They are having to bring in assistance for this. That is why a full set of images of missing items has not been immediately available. Storye book (talk) 10:56, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
