Merge of Avaluator[edit]

FYI: The page Avaluator was merged into this one by User:Maelgwn and Avaluator now redirects into this one. I copied the rest of the Avaluator page, as I was proud of my work, under the section Avaluator. If you feel that the Avaluator section should be shortened, or returned to its origingal page, please discuss it here.Billy (talk) 04:35, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think a photo or a copy of the card would work better than the description of the card. :: maelgwn - talk 04:40, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't that be a copyvio? Billy (talk) 00:08, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Probably. A low resolution pic of the card mabbe?:: maelgwn - talk 00:52, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I won't have the card until later in the ski season. I'll take a pic and replace it then. I was thinking of the following table as a temporary solution but I think its too confusing.
Risk Assessment Table
Extreme
High
Considerable
Moderate
Low
Simple Challenging Complex

Semi-Important Issue[edit]

Many of these definitions are off of the American Avalanche Associations' table, and not the Canadian. It defies the point of this article if this is not fixed. As I do not feel comfortable messing with the tables, I would urge a senior editor to change this, and check into the real definition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eastonlee (talkcontribs) 04:05, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by definitions? If you mean the danger rating scale, Canadian and American systems are the same. Billscottbob (talk) 04:11, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The danger scale is not the same in that the American scale a "Where" category has been added, and clearly whoever edited this article, amalgamated the "where" and "why" columns, into this danger scale, resulting in slight confusion on my part. Eastonlee (talk) 04:46, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, if you want to change it, go ahead. If you need some guidance on tables try Help:tables. Billscottbob (talk) 05:01, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
