Boundaries[edit]

I have left a note about the changing boundaries. Calton is now certainly part of the city of Glasgow, although when it became so I don't know. Possibly the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889? Ben Mac Dui 21:32, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd suggest the Calton Weavers Strike article, which is quite small at the moment, is merged into this page. How does everyone else feel about that? -- Zcbeaton (talk) 01:50, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I do not feel strongly about it, but lean towards keeping the two separate. The Calton Weavers article is about the history of weavers in Calton, and the strike is an incident. But the strike is also an incident in the broader history of the industry and of industrial actions in Scotland. How did the weaving industry evolve in Scotland? What happened this year? How is this part of the development of industrial relations? I see it as a sort of intersection article. Again, not a strong feeling. Aymatth2 (talk) 01:30, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
