"Although this might be considered only a modest placing, actually it was a very respectable showing considering its narrow appeal to mainly Scottish people."

Is this correct? It seems a bit POV, or even OR. Surely the same could be said, were it not so demonstrably false, about auld lang syne or even mull of kintyre.

Can i suggest this sentance is either referenced or removed.
