In the "WWE Champion (2011–2013)" subsection, reference no. 160 (this one[2]) is a dead link. Can someone use the Wayback Machine for that? 2A02:2F0D:C1C:6F00:282E:D582:54FB:3EA0 (talk) 21:05, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

Interim Champion

Says interim champion will be crowned at Forbidden Door but should say that Jon Moxley won the interim championship at Forbidden Door 2600:2B00:8238:F800:A464:B8F5:BFFE:2D79 (talk) 03:46, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Punk's "Legacy"

Should there be anything added to legacy about the negative aspect of his effect in pro wrestling? There is a growing sentiment that his grudge holding and inability to mend fences with people he doesn't like or who he views have wronged him, along with the child-like response to a lot of situations that don't go his way are not tainting, but definitely colouring his legacy as a pro wrestler. Vince193 (talk) 17:04, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

Are there any sources that have widely reported this sentiment? — Czello (music) 17:24, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

Real World Title?

Should the “Real World Championship” be added to his title list? It’s basically the same concept as the FTW Championship and that gets listed for everyone in their championships section BadGirlRyleigh (talk) 04:50, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

No, for two reasons. First, unlike the FTW title, AEW don't list it on their site - it has even less recognition than the FTW title. Secondly, it wouldn't count as a separate title reign - Punk is claiming it's a continuation of his 2nd title run. — Czello (music) 17:04, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Recent changes

McPhail, will you please discuss future reversions rather than keep reverting and providing insufficient explanations?

The photo referenced here is not of Punk with the world title, so it is inappropriate for the championships section to include an image of the "real world title" when the discussion above lists compelling reasons to oppose including the "title" itself.

The rationale that more "images of Punk post-2014" are needed for "balance" would have been more convincing had the proposed photo helped illustrate the 2015–2022 sections. While it's understandable to want to include a file you uploaded, an additional image from an August 2023 event undermines any "balance" rationale because the article would have too many photos from August 2023.

On "speculative assertion", the cited report was published around the time of Punk's Collision debut, so even the source is fully aware that he did not in fact leave AEW. Verifiability via Vulture (mainstream, reliable per WP:RSP, and not wrestling-centric) makes the claim even more due. Title wins get superseded by losses. Claims surrounding Punk's impending WWE departure in 2011 were superseded by the departure not happening. Should the wins and departure be removed? KyleJoantalk 03:07, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

  • @KyleJoan: - please refer to WP:OWNERSHIP. To prevent an edit war, I will ask for views from WP:PW on the points you are contesting. McPhail (talk) 11:07, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
You know what's more effective than throwing out policies without explaining how they're relevant? Explaining how they're relevant. If not, I could say the same thing to you. Please refer to WP:OWNERSHIP. Now what? KyleJoantalk 12:15, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
