Permission[edit]

This content has been used with permission of Business and Professional Women/USA, CEO Deborah Frett (202) 777-8900, dfrett@bpwusa.org.

It is unclear what content is used with permission and what published source has been used. This causes two issues. First, the reader is unable to verify that content accurately summarizes the source material. Second, it is not possible to determine if Wikipedia policies and guidelines related to self-sourced material have been followed. Gab4gab (talk) 12:59, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

While this page apparently has permission, it needs to be turned into an encyclopedia article. Specifically, it needs:

  • wikification;
  • cleanup of text to remove advocacy; and
  • history.

I have moved it to its proper title. Capitalistroadster 05:05, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've tried a few edits today, but I think it needs more attention, so I'm going to tag it for copy-edit. SueHay 02:40, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification[edit]

  • cleanup of text to remove advocacy
Please see National Organization of Women article. This article has been patterned after it.
  • history
Do you mean that history should not be included, that more history should be included? We have included history under background. Please advise.
  • wikification
We will review and work on this.

I have moved it to its proper title.[edit]

The official name of the organization is "Business and Professional Women/USA". Why does the name not appear as such? Is the "/" a problem? Thank you.

I suspect the slash may be a problem in that it might make the "USA" page appear subordinate to the "Business and Professional Women" page. Perhaps using "nowiki" could prevent that. If not, perhaps something similar to the "lowercase" template should be used. Michael Hardy 23:00, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Business and Professional WomenBusiness and Professional Women's Foundation — The current name is misleading through being a general expression. Further the full name, from the text, appears to be different from the article name. Michael Eriksson (talk) 06:58, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
