Needed Improvement[edit]

As a former mental health worker myself, I found some of the language in this article similarly amusing and alarming - particularly the notes of the Brothers of Charity caring for insane people and idiots. I think the article needs quite a lot of work to make it both more encyclopaedic and, dare I say it, politically correct. Blaise Joshua 09:29, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good point... also it's unclear how much of the description of the Brothers' activities pertains to the early days circa 1907 and how much pertains to the present day. - Mark Dixon 13:47, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a section on an Irish report published in December 2007.86.42.198.32 (talk) 10:09, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Information on abuse is criticized as a mismatch with the rest of the article. I suggest it being placed within proper article on the issue.Caritas1 (talk) 02:12, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The total whitewashing of their role in the rape and abuse of children in Ireland needed to be addressed, I've edited and added a source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.203.58.164 (talk) 00:57, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
