Ethnicity lacking[edit]

She's Jewish Hungarian. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.31.250.6 (talk) 05:14, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah, complete shagging machine. In his 1971 hit 'Stay With Me' he relates his fondness for one-night stands. He's one of those singers that women used to throw their knickers at, you know :-) Martyn Smith 11:35, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Victoria Sellers[edit]

I've removed the part about the "recent" threat of deportation for time sensitivity (recent is subjective) and because this article, this article, and this (cache) article indicate she was freed without charge and not deported. Sundaybrunch 19:26, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Couple Questions[edit]

At one point it says that she is an under-rated actress. Isn't this subjective unless there are some type of references? Also I think the article might flow a little better if it was divided in sections. Most of the content seems to be about relationships or acting. Possibly there could be three sections, maybe Early Life, Acting Career and Personal Life. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.242.14.102 (talk) 12:22, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's subjective anyway. How can you source such a claim? Citing people with the opinion that she is indeed a fine actress wouldn't really help you =). If you had some sources that said she sucked and then somehow proved that she didn't, then maybe... anyway, I'm going to go ahead and delete it.Hattes 16:38, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why is her name spelled 'Eklund' in some places? I've seen that spelling occasionally over the years. Did she or members of her family ever use that spelling? Or is this just sloppiness? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.79.230.17 (talk) 16:51, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The family name was Eklund. But one of her producers thought it was an ugly name, and changed it to Ekland to promote her better in Anglophone countries. 86.181.153.97 (talk) 13:02, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re her talent and the belief that she is under-rated. In her memoirs, she claims that Sellers ruined her career by interrupting her film-schedules and demanding that she should stay at home. This deprived her of many opportunities to develop her talent. On the other hand, she would probably never have been noticed, if it weren't for her connection with Sellers. This article needs an image...  ;)[edit]

The Wicker Man (1973 film) involves some most memorable and delightful images, and it seems a shame that this article should be unillustrated. Some images from the screen, which document the pagan character of the island and the ability of a virgin Christian policeman to withstand the character Willow's most seductive advances, can be found here[1] [2] [3] [4]. Yet not all of Willow is Ekland; see here [5] for more information. Now with all this excellent sourced commentary, surely there is a worthy sourced image or two that we can copy under Fair Use and add to the article. Wnt (talk) 16:19, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Mary Goodnight by Britt Ekland.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Mary Goodnight by Britt Ekland.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Ekland on Battlestar Galactica[edit]

The subject appeared in two episodes (Gun on Ice Planet Zero, parts I and II) of the original Battlestar Galactica series. Shouldn't this be mentioned somewhere in the article? Skysmurf (talk) 02:21, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2019 photo[edit]

Ekland in 2019

Why do we keep removing the 2019 photo? It seems useful to see what she looks like in more recent times. GA-RT-22 (talk) 05:08, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No response so I'm going to restore it again. Please discuss here before removing it. GA-RT-22 (talk) 05:25, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Just to let you know, I've moved that photo to a section that doesn't have any photos. I think there were too many photos in the section where it was.--A bit iffy (talk) 22:00, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Britt Ekland vs Britt (Britta) Ekman[edit]

I've removed references to Britt Ekland's first film roles having been in GI Blues and The Happy Thieves. The actress in these films was Britt(a) EKMAN. Having seen both films recently Britt Ekman is clearly a different person to Britt Ekland. Also, these films are not mentioned in the filmography at the end of Ekland's autobiography, or in the main text of that book (if her screen debut was with Elvis, in GI Blues, obviously it would have been mentioned). For those unable to access these two films, a Google image search for "Britt Ekland GI Blues" produces a youtube link to the relevant scene in GI Blues, indicating clearly that the actress involved (Britt Ekman) is not Britt Ekland. 2A02:C7C:5AED:8E00:94A0:885D:BC00:2C4B (talk) 12:05, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Britt Ekland was not in A Shot in the Dark[edit]

Elke Sommer played the role. 2001:569:7CBD:7800:DCFE:6431:11E3:FA0E (talk) 19:23, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
