Lead[edit]

I changed a few things in the first three sentences to make the introduction flow a bit more and sound clearer. I removed a comma in the first sentence, added "the" in front of each alternative goat name in the second sentence, and changed "they" to "it" in the third sentence. Partial overhaul[edit]

I've rewritten much of this to actually reflect what the sources cited (so far) really say, and to add more correctly-sourced details from them. I did not go over "Characteristics" section, and it appears to be almost entirely unsourced. It's possible that the one source cited is the source for everything in the section, but if this is the case at very least cite the same source at the end of each paragraph so this is clearer.

I reorganized the material geographically.

Also added sourced section on the breed's relation to the Anglo-Nubian.

And rewrote the lead to comply with WP:LEAD, in actually summarizing the gist of the article.

There are two (I think) sources just tacked on at the end of the article. These should be mined for additional material for the article.

Capital P for Goat[edit]

We can all agree that British gets a capital letter, I hope. But the specialist publications used as sources for this article e.g. this one, suggest that the name also uses a capital P and a capital G? We still have a P in the article name? Does the MoS not need to bother itself with actual common usage? Martinevans123 (talk) 10:20, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Martinevans123! As far as I know, MOS is silent on the capitalisation of breed names. However, the convention is that they're invariably capitalised throughout the project. If "Goat" is part of the name of this breed, then that should be capitalised too, and the page moved back to British Primitive Goat. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:32, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm surprised it's silent about anything. I was just hoping, I guess. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:54, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
