Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an attack or a negative unsourced biography of a living person, because...

So far I have only posted two sentences:

"Brenda C. Snipes has been the supervisor of elections for Broward County, Florida from 2003 to the present (2018). She was appointed by Florida's then-Governor Jeb Bush to take over for her predecessor after the irregularities in the handling of ballots in 2000 Unites State Presidential Elections in that county."

1) It says there were irregularities in how her predecessor handled the the ballots in 2000, but it does not say anything negative about BRENDA at all.

2) I cited my source for those two sentences. - NBC Miami

So it is neither negative about a living person (at least not anyone named in the article), nor is it unsourced.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of this matter.

I apologize. I came across the article in the queue of new articles to be checked, and I figured the article was so new that that must have been the way it was created. I checked the source and it didn't support the claims the IP made, which is why it says the negative claims are unsourced. I should have checked the history before recommending it for deletion. We should try to find some biographical details about her[edit]

Brenda Snipes is definitely a notable person whose biography should be considered encyclopedic content. I have no objections to the current article. It is NOT an attack piece, but rather, a factual account of her tenure of service for Broward County, Florida. I do believe that biographical details as described in the Wikipedia Manual of Style (WP:MOS I think?) should be provided. I will try to find some content to add, e.g. date and place of birth, education, career prior to appointment by then-governor Jeb Bush. I would encourage other editors who may read this to do similarly.--FeralOink (talk) 09:49, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
