UK Bank Holiday

This article states that Boss' Day takes place on March 24th, a UK Bank Holiday. While this is technically true for 2008, it is only so because March 24th was Easter Monday this year. Personally I have never heard of Boss' day, and there is definitely no official UK Bank Holiday for it, so should this even be in the article? 64.35.203.57 (talk) 19:57, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I agree, it's total rubbish, there's never been a Boss's day in the UK. Removed relevant section. SaintedLegion (talk) 08:35, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

I (I'm not the original author) have removed the word "England" -I'm British and I've never heard of this holiday either. I don't know about other countries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.181.46.66 (talk) 11:15, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but this is just lame. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.103.27.10 (talk) 14:56, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Bosses day sucks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.166.30.5 (talk) 16:31, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Photo

Is that photo really necessary? Faethon Ghost (talk) 14:37, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I think a picture of Bruce Springsteen or Tony Danza would be much more appropriate. -AMO —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.95.64.254 (talk) 14:55, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

The photo (of the grinning guy with the bags of money) almost makes the article seem like satire. I suppose if enough people think it's as silly as we do, somebody will delete it. I'd do it, but I don't like deleting something unless its grossly inaccurate. ChargersFan (talk) 19:55, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Please remember WP:BOLD. I'll do it. Faethon Ghost (talk) 08:22, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Haha! I just saw the other boss pic. I don't know, but this definitely makes the article more enjoyable to read. Not touching it. Faethon Ghost (talk) 08:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Considering the almost comical nature that Boss' Day is (and I'm a boss myself) the picture represents it well. And is good for a chuckle. It's like a funny Boss' Day card. I'm letting it stay also. Garffreak (talk) 00:14, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Text

It states in part, "[she] chose October 16 because she forgot that the birthday of her boss, who was her father, was actually on the 16th." What does that mean? She deliberately chose 10/16 because she forgot it was her father's birthday? That doesn't make any sense. Maybe it should be she chose the 16th because it was her father's birthday. 67.109.209.6 (talk) 14:10, 13 November 2009 (UTC)T.R. Anderson II

Emily Post's Opinion

Removed uncited quote from Emily Post, since Boss' Day was established in 1958 and she died in 1960 it is doubtful that she would have had something to say about it. If there is a reliable source, feel free to add it back in. Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:58, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
