Spelling of sister's name[edit]

Occupation[edit]

Is "victim" an occupation? The article said she was in possession of illegal drugs and wrote bad checks. I am changing the occupation to "housewife" because she was a wife.VK35

Spelling of Bonnie's first name: "Bonnie" or "Bonny"?[edit]

Note that the article spells her first name as "Bonnie" whereas her headstone, accessible via an external link, spells it as "Bonny". Many Internet sources also use the "y" spelling while others spell it with "ie". Should her name be changed to "Bonny" in the article, or should language be introduced in the article to the effect that the "y" spelling is a variant?

Undid page move of biography that was not discussed[edit]

I have undone a title move of this article from a biography title of Bonnie Lee Bakley to the event title of Killing of Bonnie Lee Bakley using the excuse that WP:BIO1E applies. The general rule (a guideline) of WP:BIO1E is "... to cover the event, not the person." However, there is a caveat that "... if media coverage of both the event and the individual's role grow larger, separate articles may become justified." There are multiple criteria for an article title, the most known is to use a commonly recognisable name. For biographies that is usually the person's name, but for an event that means describing the event. This event is usually described in the media as a murder but while Blake was charged, he was acquitted of those crimes, no other foul play on his part was identified and he was only sued in a civil court for wrongful death, so calling the event a "Killing of ..." is not an appropriate title either. Additionally, in this case, moving a longstanding biography with more than 250 edits since 2005 to an event title is going to be controversial because of all the work involved in rewriting the biography article as an event, since the two have different structures. Additionally, WP:BIO1E may not apply because the subject was an actress who appeared in two previous films in the 1980's, admittedly uncredited, and as a socialite who was married 9 times previously. Her marriage to Blake, alone, would surely have been notable and newsworthy. I find it hard to believe the subject of the article was not already notable before her death. Otherwise I believe her notability would have been challenged before now, so this move goes against community consensus. There are valid reasons to move a page but simply changing a title because a person was killed is not one of them. Once an article has been written one needs to consider the nature of an article and its title, as a whole. Because, if a biography is moved to an event title then it needs to written about as an event. The time to make the decision about "What are we going to write about?" is when the article is first created, not 15 years down the track once it is well formed and written about as a biography.
