Pine Hill State School[edit]

Where was this school? It is described in the Education Dept records as being "via Bogantungan" (which indicates that Bogantungan was the nearest town) but I cannot find any Pine Hill in that area today. Kerry (talk) 21:27, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

...I think it's Pine Hill, Queensland. Bogantungan is today in Willows, Queensland; Pine Hill borders Willows to the west. The Drover's Wife (talk) 22:54, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@The Drover's Wife: My first reaction was "... no it's Alpha to the West" because I've got the Queensland Globe open in front of me and there's no Pine Hill anywhere nearby. Then I noticed that the Pine Hill was indeed listed as being west in the Willows, Queensland article and the penny dropped. I looked to see if reality was at fault. And it was, there was a Nov 2019 decision to amalgamate various localities and one of the ones that disappeared was ... Pine Hill. So thanks for spotting this. I now need to update all those locality articles that were affected by the amalgamation. Kerry (talk) 10:07, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
