The lead of the above article states that this was Jimi Hendrix' last live performance. This is not correct. Jimi Hendrix' last live performance was on 6 September 1970 at the Open Air Love & Peace Festival on the German isle of Fehmarn: see here. I suppose what is meant is that his appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival was his last performance in the U.K., but I can not find a source for that. Maybe someone here can?
