Crabs[edit]

Does anyone know the original title of "Crabs"? Looking through a bibliography of Murakami's I've identified all of the other stories that appear in BWSW but I don't see a short story that would correspond with "Crabs". I haven't read it, but I understand that 野球場 has something to do with crabs, maybe that's it? I live in the US and BWSW hasn't been released here yet so I have no basis for comparison. • Not sure to be honest - all I can tell you is that (spoiler ahead if you don't want to know!) it is about a couple who eat crab for several days at the same Singapore restaurant, which eventually leads to the narrator never being able to treat his girlfriend in the same way again. Oh and as for BWSW, its absolutely fantastic and I hope you get your hands on it soon! It was included in the italian magazine Storie #50 (http://www.storie.it/ENGLISHrecents.htm) --Phl3djo 19:08, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, and good work on this article! I had been looking around for the table of contents to BWSW and this was the only place I could find it. CES 19:30, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good Article[edit]

This is a horrible article. It is borderline for deletion/merging debate. I wouldn't even call it an article. It is a poorly written big list. --GoOdCoNtEnT 07:13, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think you're overreacting a bit. Okay a large part of the article is a list, but "poorly written"? How so? Furthermore, how is it "horrible"? You could certainly say that it needs expanding, but just saying it is "horrible" is not at all constructive. --Phl3djo 10:43, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Firefly[edit]

Firefly is not an extract from Norwegian wood, it's a standalone story that was used as a study for Norwegian wood. I'll try to find more info and include it, if no one else does that first. TomorrowTime 21:01, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Norwegian Wood was written in 1987 whereas Firefly was published in 1983. Some of Murakami's long stories are written based on his own short story and Norwegian Wood is one of them. NKEISK (talk) 11:44, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
