Untitled[edit]

This is the same Bill Beeny who owns and operates the Elvis Is Alive Museum in Wright City, MO. What this article does not mention is that Beeny had/has (at least) 15 to 20 children with various women. I should know--I'm one of his daughters! Man, I didn't even know some of the crazy right-wing stuff he was involved in until I read this article. I'm confused, though, because I thought one of his churches was called Soldiers of the Cross Church.

Also, Bill was the front man for a country-western band called Bill Beeny and the Westerners. He used to play his own country-western music on his radio evangelist program, and my brother and I would listen to him on the radio and crack up at his off-key vocals and saccharine lyrics. I think Bill has softened in his old age. He's not involved politically at all and just runs an overstock store with the Elvis museum tucked away in the back.

That's very interesting! Thanks for adding this. Could you add any of this info to the main article? It would help flesh it out. Also, if you're interested in getting more info on Bill, there's a decent-sized file folder of newsclippings on him in the Group Research collection of the Manuscripts and Archives division at Columbia University, NY. Racisim?[edit]

I could be wrong, but this article (and especially the article on CROSS), seems like it's a little too hostile and presumptuous about Mr. Beeny and racism. Now, I understand that I have absolutely none of the facts, but my dad is a long time friend and business partner of Bill's, and I myself have met him on numerous occasions. My dad admits that he's always been full of crazy ideas, but says that he's never taken a racist stance, as far as he knows. And he certainly doesn't seem like someone who would be racist. Again, this is only based on my opinion, and not in fact at all, but as a whole, this article just sounds too much like it was written by someone who didn't like Bill Beeny.--72.161.170.25 02:58, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He killed my brother[edit]

I am Rev Dr Ken Witt. His so called youth ranch was closed because of two deaths, Ed Brawley and Raymond Witt. Raymond was my brother. We were not an anti-communist ranch since we largely were never supervised. This led to experimentaion in homo sexuality and other such activities. Beeny would show up one day a week to give a small altar call type event. When my brother was killled in a drowning at the lake his wife asked me if I thought my Mom would sue, he has yet to apologize for the disaster. My brother died because there was no supervision at all at the ranch
