Lacking in details[edit]

This article is not informative. There are mainly only two version of the Bible in use amongst Nasranis of Kerala. The Catholics use the recent POC Bible, while almost everyone else (including Orthodox (Syriac, Indian)) use the older Malayalam Bible (Sathyavedapusthakam) published by the Bible Society of India. But it most be noted that the 'official' version of the Bible followed by the Orthodox churches have the same number of books as the Roman Catholic version. However, they don't call those books as 'Apocrypha'. All other bibles are not used by regular people in their daily lives, they are just scholarly pursuits. There versions of the Syriac Peshita in Malayalam but they are not used widely. Peoples habits and customs don't change easily. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.206.18.130 (talk) 15:24, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Advertisement?[edit]

The newest Complete Malayalam version Vishudha Sathyavedapusthakam was released in 2000 by Bro. Dr. Mathews Vergis. An interactive CD of Vishudha Sathyavedapusthakam was also produced by Bro. Dr. Mathews Vergis, and this is the first of its kind in any Asian language.

This sentence looks more like an ad, than an information presented. Extensive Google search did not return any credible results to cite as well, than links to his own website and a Yahoo group discussion.

Also, the article is a stub, with a lot of disconnected facts and much less on history - http://www.bsind.org/malayam_translation.html this is more of an authentic history of initial days, and pages of respective bible societies for history past those days. Even half of the information in Bible Society page is not present here. I recommend adding "stub" notice to it. --JPF (talk) 04:31, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I agree[edit]

The section about Dr. Mathews Vergis's translation is an advertisement and I propose that it should be re-written to match with the Wikipedia standards BeNiza (talk) 00:45, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
