Consistency of formatting[edit]

Per the manual of style's accessibility guidelines, I replaced existing italics with transliteration tags. I tried to defer to only applying this where italics existed, but I notice that sections differ in their implementation of this formatting style.

I would love feedback on what the best practice would be. For example, if a word (e.g. litti) is marked up for transliteration in one place, should it be marked up identically throughout, or or only on first reference? I assume it's the former, but in either case, I would be happy to ensure their consistency.
