A question better answered by those with access to Nelson's and Finch's vital statistics concerns how close or otherwise the latter portrayed the former. Peter Finch was tall and muscular and impressed me as too physically big for the part of Nelson who was, even before losing his arm, neither very strong nor very tall. A biography of Glenda Jackson mentions how she tried to relate closely to Lady Hamilton with voice (Emma H came from Jackson's native Wirral region) and presenting her figure (Emma being voluptuous in life and of greater weight than Jackson).Cloptonson (talk) 13:04, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I found half an answer to my question. According to a list, titled "Small But Great", compiled by Jeremy Beadle for The Book of Lists 3 (1981) edited by David Wallechinsky and several Wallaces, Nelson is stated to be 5 feet 5 and a half inches tall.Cloptonson (talk) 13:32, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
