Age of Belmont Belmont County Ohio[edit]
Belmont seems to have existed in Belmont County Ohio and been called Belmont at least as early as 1809, at that time the estate of Margaret Lutz Woolford probated with her located in Belmont a community in Belmont Co. Ohio. Her children also owned land, including several town lots in Belmont Ohio. I think a book available in many Large urban Libraries is called Early Ohio Tax Records prior to 1810... it may give the best idea of the age of the name of this town which I think may predate the formation of Belmont County In OhioJohn5Russell3Finley (talk) 22:36, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
