New Series?[edit]

My child enjoys it, will there be another series? Vaughn1 18:48, 31 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think the song "Clean up the house" should be added. Gabriele
If your child enjoyed Bear, you might want to also consider It's a Big Big World, which was also created by Mitchell Kriegman, and includes many of the same puppeteers and staff, such as Peter Linz. However, I don't find it quite as neat as Bear, myself. Still, might be a good substitute though. Agent0042 18:24, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Luna?[edit]

Who plays Luna now after the death of the original, Emmy nominated voice? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.192.48.143 (talkcontribs) 11:34, 3 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Carol Dennis provided the voice in the stage shows. However, there haven't been any episodes of the actual series produced since around 2002 --- 2003. The episodes that aired in April 2006 were produced back then. There is speculation that there may be a new movie next year for the program's tenth anniversary. If there is, I suppose maybe Dennis could do it again, or they might get someone else. Agent0042 18:22, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mystery Character[edit]

Who is the green monkey looking character? We cannot find his name any where!

That's Treelo. WATCH the show. Pikku 11:01, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And Treelo's a lemur, not a monkey. 80.56.35.62 (talk) 09:35, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pip and Pop[edit]

The article states that Pip and Pop are twins, but as far as I know they're cousins. Does anybody know for sure? Caudex Rax (talk) 09:10, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Episode list[edit]

This article is way too big and takes too long to get through with the Episode List. I have tested to see what it would look like without the list and the size goes down from 110K to 10K bytes. That might make the main article too small, but we can always add summaries for each season back in, while having the huge episode list elsewhere. I'll return with a completed Episode page, leaving it here till the other is complete. - WylieCoyote 09:30, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done! List of Bear in the Big Blue House episodes. You should discuss reverting this before deleting that page. My reason for doing it is: WP:SIZESPLIT.
Current size totals:
Main page - 16,597 bytes
Episode list - 99,854 bytes (can be reduced further w/ episode trim). — WylieCoyote 12:30, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cancellation Section[edit]

Wondering what the other editor’s thought about removing all together under the Cancellation section, the unsourced text. I can’t find any credible source on the internet where this can be verified. If we removed it it would remove unneeded weight. User:Magnolia677 what do you think? Elvisisalive95 (talk) 15:38, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:MJL Maybe you could weigh in? Elvisisalive95 (talk) 16:37, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Elvisisalive95: I wonder if we can find that Today FM interview or not. It might take some digging, but it could be worth it to be honest. –MJLTalk 18:21, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:MJL OK, I’ll keep looking for it! Elvisisalive95 (talk) 18:24, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The following is completely untrue: Bear in the Big Blue House was initially produced from 1997 to 2003. The sudden death of Lynne Thigpen, who voiced 'Luna' the Moon, led to production being put on hiatus for three years, along with a planned film.

In 2005, two years after Thigpen's death, Tara Mooney, who voiced Shadow, told Irish radio station Today FM that "the crew's hearts just weren't in it anymore".

The production ended in March 2002 and over a year later Lynn Thigpen died. Her death had NOTHING to do with the end of the series as so many people erroneously believe and share. NoelieO (talk) 14:06, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the "Cancellation" section of the article.
The information within, claiming the hiatus of the show was due to the death of Linda Thigpen, is spurious and lacks a source. It has been debunked in the following tiktok by Noel MacNeal, the man behind the bear. https://www.tiktok.com/@noelmacneal/video/6944786744097164549? 2603:6080:5A04:5F4F:9475:DDA8:60BB:D754 (talk) 20:37, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
