Date of Battle[edit]

According to the book To Hell or Barbados by Sean O'Callaghan the battle actually occurred on 22 July 1649, the article says 2 August but has no source. I'll change if no-one finds a contradictory source.GiollaUidir (talk) 20:08, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Casualties[edit]

I should point out that the number of Royalists/Irish killed in the battle is not clear; in their respective books on the period Scott-Wheeler states it was over 2,000 but O'Siorchu claims it was perhaps as low as 600. Perhaps there needs to be a note this effect in the article. Inchiquin (talk) 08:59, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

B class review[edit]

B class. In the infobox, it states the Commonwealth force had 1,200 cavalry and 4,000 infantry, but this data is not cited anywhere. Please put this data in the text and cite it. Thanks. Djmaschek (talk) 20:33, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please see how "upright" is used when adding/expanding/shrinking pictures in the text. It takes a little experimentation. Djmaschek (talk) 20:41, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Changes made; re the pictures, I was previously using the px to alter the size, but was told not to. So I'm assuming its ok to use the Upright format, which works better for me.
Please note it's Patrick Purcell. tx Robinvp11 (talk) 10:11, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I thought the other Purcell was a likely candidate. My mistake. Thanks for correcting that. Djmaschek (talk) 16:10, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And thanks for citing the Commonwealth strength numbers. Djmaschek (talk) 16:12, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
