Once and future thing[edit]

Reading this article there seems to be trouble with trying to square it with the episode the once and future thing. (explaining cronos death, chucko etc) However, this is largely irrelevant simply because it was stated many times during the episode that the timeline there was completely messed up. (Older batman to Static," I don't remember any of this and something akin to this time being outside or unnaffected by other times or events) So in that spirit I am going to redo all of the bits that try to square this movie with the episode in question as it doesbn't need to be done. Knee-jerk reverts[edit]

The editorial changes I made to this article were in no way, shape or form vandalism. I just cleaned up the grammer and eliminated a section that consisted of nothing but original research. It would be nice, Doydoydar, if you would explain why editorial changes "appear to be vandalism" instead of undoing all of someone's work with no apparent justification. Removing the Warning[edit]

I've seen the movie, and nothing in here seems out of line with the NPOV policy. I'm removing the bias warning. If you think it should be put back, leave a comment here explaining why.

Tim Drake's "death"[edit]

Although Tim Drake didn't die, the character of Robin sure did. I didn't like that Robin was "killed" in this movie and whenever I see Robin (Tim Drake incarnation) I know that his impending doom is coming.

I edit the part talking of why the joke started to take control of Tim drake after forty's years. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker  : This straight-to-video animated film had the final battle between the original Batman and The Joker taking place at an abandoned Arkham. It is also the same spot where Robin (as a brainwashed, junior version of The Joker) killed Joker. A deleted scene (featured on both versions of the DVD as a special feature) has Bruce Wayne touring the abandoned Arkham, where Terry McGinnis, Wayne's successor as Dark Knight, follows and sees Joker's corpse hanging.

I agree. If it's not a coincidence, it definitely requires a citation.


grammar police[edit]

I didn't edit the article, because i'm new to the wiki thing and i wasn't 100% sure. I think the quotation "I'll begin with how I affected young Robin's makeover" is actually one of the few instances where Effect is used as a verb instead of Affect. Who is good at grammar and would know. Since I suspect this is a transcription, it could be changed. But if it is a copy of a script it would need a [sic]. Or I'm completely wrong with my grammar.

Continuity[edit]

Continuity-wise, Return of the Joker appears to be set after Batman Beyond's third season episode "King's Ransom" where Paxton Powers is arrested, therefore leaving Wayne-Powers up for grabs.

Does this mean directly after, or immediately after? It seems like the default placement would be when in the series it was released (between "Betrayal" and "Curse of the Kobra"), unless there's evidence contradicting that. --DocumentN (talk) 20:25, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The space laser beam[edit]

Xbox 360[edit]

Shouldn't we mention that this movie is availible for rent on Xbox 360, but the question is what version is it? Edited or uncut? I mean they say the duration is 76 mins and the article says that the edited version is 76 mins, but I just want to be sure. Absurdly extensive list of cuts and re-edits[edit]

Seems like someone cleaned up the list of cuts too much - the biggest change of the movie, Joker's death, isn't addressed in the article. Connections to the television series/Joker's Remains[edit]

I just wanted to query the comment under "Connections to the television series" that mentions the alleged sighting of the Joker's remains in the Batman Beyond episode "Joyride". Is there any kind of official source that can be used to confirm this? When I watched the episode a month or so ago I just assumed the remains were a previous gang initiate that didn't survive the ordeal, or possibly even just a fake skeleton planted there to scare new members. Either way I don't see any evidence in the episode that these are the joker's remains, and it wouldn't be consistent anyway since Bruce Wayne mentions in this film that he and Batgirl buried the Joker's body beneath Arkham Asylum. -- Haravikk (talk) 21:29, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
