Winners table[edit]

I propose changing the winners table to include only the outright winners. As it is now, it is much too large in my eyes and will only get worse as more races take place. In any case, the class winners can be found by following the link the each individual race page. What are others' thoughts on this? KytabuTalk 10:13, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I favor leaving the class winners in the table. GTHO (talk) 07:30, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I only bring it up because in five years the table could possibly become this big. It's too much information, in my view, for people who want an overview of the event itself. I think it would be much neater to just include the overall winner. People can always find the class winners by visiting the page for each year. KytabuTalk 02:32, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1995[edit]

Why is the 1995 race being deleted all day today? It's the same organisers, the same racing cars and teams, only the location changed. --Falcadore (talk) 07:14, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The official site does not count the 1995 race in the event history (http://bathurst12hour.com.au/event-info/faqs). Just because the same drivers and teams entered doesn't make it the same event - is the Queensland 500 the same event as the Sandown 500? SchueyFan (talk) 13:15, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
12 months late in reply. Issue long settled. --Falcadore (talk) 23:59, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I know it was last year but I don't think that's relevant, things can always be up for review.SchueyFan (talk) 06:26, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Removing the 1995 race would be akin to removing the Phillip Island races from the Bathurst 1000 article. – Kytabu 00:43, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
True, and it is a grey area, but I think the PI races get more official recognition as being part of the history of the B1000 than EC does for the 12 Hour. I note that the official programme for the 12 Hour also didn't include the EC result in their statistics. SchueyFan (talk) 09:13, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Having looked at the FAQs page again, it says "A 12 Hour Race was held at Bathurst from 1991 to 1994" - this does not mean they are excluding the Eastern Creek race, just that they are giving details on the Bathurst races only. The fast facts article from before this year's race says "8 different brands have won the 14 races", which means that they have included the Eastern Creek race in that statistic (although in the same "fact" it says Mazda has only won three times - maybe a V8 Supercars influence on distorting history?). – Kytabu 00:52, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, I guess there is enough there to justify leaving the article as is.SchueyFan (talk) 02:48, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
