I picked Tile Hill Wood as the redirect because it has a map showing Banner Lane. Biscuittin (talk) 15:48, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures[edit]

The layout on these pictures seems odd, messy and unbalanced. Would a gallery work better? 7&6=thirteen () 18:56, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It might be a resolution or aspect ratio issue because they all look even and line up nicely on my screen now, whereas they were messy before! Nevertheless I'll check out your suggestion so that they will look ok to everyone. Cheers. Red Sunset 20:20, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I'm not the picture person. User: Doug Coldwell sometimes has a good eye and skills for this sort of issue. 7&6=thirteen () 20:23, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Revert if you don't like. It should look good on your PC. There is room enough for 2 more pictures in the gallery (I suggest to do). You can adjust heights="150px"> to heights="140px"> or heights="160px"> for example to make things fit nice and neat.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 20:45, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
As you know"Ctrl" + mouse scroll does adjust letter size and screen resolution. I have looked at the article page on different PCs at different locations and it looks good.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:01, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That's great Doug - thanks very much for your assistance and advice. Cheers. Red Sunset 21:05, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
May I courteously suggest that either a better picture, preferably aerial, is found for the plant or the tractor goes back up into the top right. Fascinated by the idea of copyvios in my work! Perhaps some detail might be supplied. Eddaido (talk) 21:24, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
A good aerial photo would be great! I placed an external link to one that I found that gives a good indication of the early plant layout and camouflage and would love to include it on the page, but I don't know how, or if it can be done without infringing the copyright. My thinking when I rearranged the photos was that one of the plant itself would be more suitable at the top of the page since that is the topic of the article, although I suppose most people associate Banner lane with tractors. Have a jumble around to see what looks good to you. Red Sunset 21:51, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That looks like a more balanced layout now Doug - nice work! Red Sunset 22:13, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also curious to know who you think found the present pictures! Be a good wiki editor and try for yourself. Eddaido (talk) 22:18, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the picture of the demolition of the tower block because the article is about more the than 50 years it was a productive place not about its destruction. For similar reasons I have moved the heading Demolition. I have included one less ephemeral reference. I am going to have to leave that project for now but will keep a watching brief on progress.
