Balls of Fury vs Blades of Glory?[edit]

Am I the only one who sees the strange similarity between these 2 movies? Are "cooky" sports-related movies the new trend in the industry? Blades of glory, balls of fury. Its probably just a coincidence though 24.32.231.134 18:54, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's just a coincidence mixed with the, as you put it, "'cooky' sports-related movies" trend, just look at Dodgeball. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.16.40.18 (talk) 23:29:36, August 19, 2007 (UTC)

Dragon[edit]

I notice The Dragon is uncredited not only in the film credits but here. Who played her?

Pedophillia is just wrong man... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.170.59.209 (talk) 09:12, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Her name is La Na Shi. Pedophillia not withstanding. JMAN 23:48 EST

What got me was the pun: Jason Scott Lee was Bruce Lee in Dragon the movie. Bruce Lee was was in trouble for teaching whites martial arts and in Balls, he berates the old man for teaching ping pong to whites. It was funny for about half a second. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.113.81.76 (talk) 04:01, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inpired by Jan-Ove Waldner[edit]

The writers have stated that the movie is partially inspired by Jan-Ove Waldner, the Swedish ping-pong veteran that's something of a super-hero for Ping-Pong fans, especially in China. See e.g.

Absence of Other Reno 911! Main Casts[edit]

Fans of Reno 911! might recognize many of Reno 911! regulars in this movie. The oddest thing is that other than Garant, Lennon and Kenney-Silver, the rest of Reno 911! main casts are missing from this movie. Meanwhile other actors who play recurring and minor characters are making appearances in this movie (Diedrich Bader, Patton Oswalt, Masi Oka, David Koechner, and even Minglie Chen). Apparently Garant and Lenon did not even consider their Reno 911! cast-mates to be in this movie. Tastes like lead (talk) 08:50, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could we possibly put a spoiler warning over the plot section?[edit]

While reading Section 1 (Plot), I realized that I was ruining the movie for myself. No doubt this is happening to others who log on to this page. I have seen a spoiler warning box on other pages and this one needs it as well. 66.184.47.146 (talk) 15:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Erm..what did you expect when the section said "plot"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.77.21.240 (talk) 22:37, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We don't do spoilers here anymore. Were the film/book/media still unreleased, we could preserve the plot by noting that it was a recently released feature film. Either way BoF doesn't qualify. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 15:06, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Injure[edit]

Why did Rodrigeuz injure Daytona? I saw the film and read the plot section, still unclear. Lots42 (talk) 04:32, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Umberto Dinovi vs Karl Wolfsomethin[edit]

What happened to the Purple shirt Guy who fell over the fence while competing with Karl? His body was dragged away... what happened???

Well, if it was in Feng's place, quite possibly a horrific death. Lots42 (talk) 20:32, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disney?[edit]

How would a silly joke after a head injury help cause so much? People have said and done some crazy things after being bopped in the noggin. Not their fault. Lots42 (talk) 20:32, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

lol

Budget?[edit]

Like how much? I read on imdb the budget was 25,000,000 but it was in comments only. Apparently the film was privately financed so the numbers are hush hush. I hate that. Tomato expert1 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:15, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
